Accomodations and Info

Cuban Currency

The Cuban monetary system is that Cuba uses the official currency: the CUP (Cuban Peso).

Cuban money is not available for exchange outside of Cuba, so you have to stop by a currency exchange office once you arrive (and don’t forget to exchange your extra Cuban currency before you leave!). You can exchange your currency at banks, hotels, and government currency exchange centers (CADECA). CADECA offices are located in airports, hotels, resorts, and shopping centers. CADECA offices are the safest and most reliable places to exchange currency.

Important note:

All inclusive means that you can have unlimited food and drinks at any of restaurants of Hotel Melia and free access to all facilities.
For health and security reasons and due to the All Inclusive treatment, the access to Hotel Melia and the conference site is not allowed for people staying outside the hotel.
Participants should proceed directly to Melia website to book their rooms

It is mandatory to fill the form on https://dviajeros.mitrans.gob.cu/.
To reserve a transfer from Havana airport to Melia Varadero or Varadero airport to Melia Varadero please contact Olga: olga.sanchez@solways.com.
Transfer via Transtur bus can be done directly upon arrival at the airport.
