The Mediterranean Institute of Fundamental Physics (MIFP) is organizing the International Workshop on the Physics of Excitons that will be held in Hotel Melia Varadero, Varadero (Cuba) from March 30 to April 6, 2013.

The workshop is devoted to the recent discoveries in physics of excitons including Bose-Einstein condensation and spin effects in indirect excitons and exciton-polaritons, excitons in new materials, Frenkel excitons in organic microcavities, excitons in quantum Hall bi-layers.
The workshop is aimed at establishing of informal and creative dialogue between leading groups from Europe, Asia and America specialised in physics of excitons.
