PLMCN 2026

International Conference on
Physics of Light-Matter Coupling in
Nanostructures and Nanophotonics

Yerevan - Armenia, 12th - 15th April, 2026

International Conference on Physics of Light-Matter Coupling in Nanostructures and Nanophotonics (PLMCN)

The PLMCN-2026 conference will be devoted to the fundamental and technological issues relevant to the realization of a new generation of opto-electronic devices based on advanced low-dimensional and photonic structures, such as low threshold polariton lasers, new optical switches, single photon emitters, photonic band-gap structures, etc. It should review recent achievements in the fundamental understanding of strong light-matter coupling, as well as follow progress in the development of epitaxial and processing technologies of wide gap semiconductor and organic nanostructures and microcavities providing the basis for advanced optical studies, as well as metamaterials, photonics, quantum and neuromorphic computation, spintronics, superconductivity and related topics.

The conference will be open to new emerging field as carbon nanotubes and quantum information.

Quantum College

Quantum College is the first non-state experimental school in Armenia, offering three levels of education: elementary, middle, and high school.

Founded in September 1991 (License No. 001), the school started its first academic year with 49 students, 17 teachers, and 21 graduates, in roughly 400 m² of space.

Today, Quantum College educates about 1,000 students and has more than 3,000 graduates, with 60 active full-time classes and 100+ teachers, including PhDs and professors teaching at Armenian universities.

Since 2011, Quantum has been an International Baccalaureate (IB) member and is authorized to implement the Diploma Programme. In October 2021, IB experts awarded Quantum the highest evaluation for its decade of work in this field. More details are available on the Venue page.
